Matraville & Pagewood Masterplan
Sydney Catholic Schools and the principals of St Agnes, Our Lady of the Annunciation and Champagnat Catholic College have great plans in place for the development and growth of our community.
Solemnity of Christ the King: 22 November 2020
Archbishop Anthony Fisher OP will be launching a video message to mark this special occasion which we will share with parishes next week.
As the level of community transmission of COVID-19 declines, Catholics are called to return to Mass, if they are well enough, rather than continuing to rely upon livestreamed Masses where we miss out on receiving the Blessed Sacrament, the source and summit of our faith. As we prepare to welcome the birth of Our Lord, Advent is a wonderful time for Catholics to return to Mass who may not have done so over recent months due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
To mark the Feast of Christ the King, dedicated prayer and liturgy resources will be shared on the Archdiocese of Sydney website next week.
Live Streaming Our Masses
Many parishes are live streaming their masses and so are reaching many people who are not with us in our church. If you have the “tech know how” and would like to help the parish to set up the live streaming, please contact Fr Laurie. You would be doing a great service to our Catholic community.

Let’s Keep in Touch
Are we aware of our neighbours? During this time of isolation, there are many people, in particular our elderly community, who are feeling lonely and would really benefit from knowing that we care. Perhaps a phone call to someone. If we all make an effort to contact just one other person, we would really make a difference.
We are asked to love one another – please reach out to your neighbours.
For some very inspiring stories please look at the website shalomtidings.org and go to magazines.
Fr Paul’s Reflections are available under ‘Publications, Other Articles‘.
You may also enjoy the Week by Week Family Prayer Articles under ‘Publications, Inspirations‘.
Sincere thanks to those who have continued their support through planned giving and to those who have made some special donations. Your generosity is really appreciated.
If you are making a “DONATION” and require a Receipt to claim a Tax Deduction please make sure you let us know at the time the donation is made. Thank you.
You are most welcome to phone the parish office 9311 2062 or 9311 1909 for more information.
